Solar Thermal - Renewable Energy Education Services

We have been in the solar thermal business continuously since 1980. We provide educational hands-on training on solar thermal basics up to installation and design. The instructor, Bob Ramlow is the author of Solar Water Heating, A Comprehensive Guide to Solar Water and Space Heating Systems, the first book of its’ kind to be written in over 20 years. Bob Ramlow is a NABCEPTM certified solar thermal installer, an ISPQ Independent Master Trainer in Solar Thermal and has 30 years experience designing, installing and repairing solar hot water and space heating systems. Our Intro to Solar Water and Space Heating Course is approved for 7 NABCEP Continuing Education Contact Hours and our 3 day Installation Course is approved for 21 Contact Hours. Our courses directly relate to the NABCEP Solar Thermal Task Analysis.

If you are a manufacturer, distributor or dealer we can help in training new installers either here at our facility in Wisconsin or at your site. Our renewably powered campus includes classroom space, a practice roof and lodging at our Bed & Breakfast. It is a great learning environment with systems for solar domestic and space heating applications, pressurized closed-loop and drain-back. We can also do custom training for you at your site. Our programs give individuals the tools necessary to install a functioning solar thermal system and the knowledge to design them. This training can help you increase your distribution base, increasing solar thermal system sales with high performing, professionally trained installers. We also offer training in site assessments and system design for commercial and residential facilities.
